The market of the Eurasian Economic Union is very important for Armenia, Armenia’s acting Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview with Russia 24 television.

“I think that now it is obvious for all the Eurasian Economic Union member states that the main task is to overcome the barriers in the area of mutual trade and mutual economic integration. It was noted that now there are officially about 100 barriers in the Eurasian Union from the point of view of economic integration: legislative, practical, logistical, and so on,” he said.

According to him, the priority direction of the work of the Armenian government is to ensure full access under the EAEU Treaty, as well as to ensure full access of the Armenian business to the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Pashinyan recalled that Armenia has GSP and GSP+ regime with the European Union.  

“But we will not be working towards one side or another at the expense of our integration processes in the Eurasian Economic Union,” acting PM added.
