YEREVAN. – The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, on Saturday paid a visit to the Ministry of Defense (MOD) where he held a consultation with the ministry executives and the senior officers of the Armed Forces.

Pashinyan underscored meetings in such format, in terms of effective cooperation between the government and the army.

“Our key task is to address our security challenges,” the PM noted, in particular. “The number-one guarantor of the security of the Republic of Armenia and of Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] is the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and the Artsakh Defense Army.

“The armed forces’ normal development and coordination with modern rules of combat-readiness and the security needs of the Republic of Armenia, of Artsakh, is our absolute priority.”
