I don’t understand how laying off 10,000 public servants can promote Armenia’s interests. This is what Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Human Rights of the National Assembly and Deputy of the Prosperous Armenia Party’s parliamentary faction Naira Zohrabyan told journalists at the National Assembly on 5 March.

The MP says this is very troubling and is planning on raising the issue during the question-and-answer session with government officials at the National Assembly tomorrow.

Former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and former member of the Republican Party of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan had posted on her Facebook page the letter of Armenia’s Deputy Premier Mher Grigoryan and Finance Minister Atom Janjughazyan addressed to Premier Nikol Pashinyan stating the justifications for laying off 10,000 public servants and considered it shocking.
