Under the new tax code, we are going to exempt individual taxi drivers from paying licensing fees, and I hope they invest that small amount of money to improve the quality of their services. This is what Armenia’s Premier Nikol Pashinyan declared during the March 7 government session.
“I believe that every taxi driver is a person who shapes the image of our country. We talk about a strategy for tourism, but excuse me, we need taxi drivers who treat their job seriously. This starts from smoking in the car and ends with physical appearance,” Pashinyan declared.
He noted that these are major components in the sense of an economic revolution and that this issue has remained unsolved for many years in Armenia.
Ex-Premier Karen Karapetyan had also touched upon the issue of taxi drivers.
