We still have no information about the whereabouts of Levon Sargsyan, brother of Third President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. This is what Armenia’s Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan told journalists at the National Assembly on 29 March.

According to him, extradition starts when the person is found and arrested and information about this is reported to the law-enforcement authorities of the Republic of Armenia, as in the case of Narek Sargsyan.

When told that Director of the National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan said that the National Security Service knows Levon Sargsyan’s whereabouts and has stated that he is in an Arab country, the Prosecutor General said the following: “The director of the National Security Service can have different operative information and generously share it with you. Sharing this information is not significant in terms of criminal procedure. When the authorities of the particular country find the criminal and report to us, that is when I start performing my actions.”
