Vazgen Sargsyan's brother, Aram Sargsyan, claims he did not intend to become the board chairperson of the Yerkrapah Union of Volunteer, Aram Sargsyan told reporters during the 12th Extraordinary Congress of the Yerkrapah Union of Volunteer.

According to him, Yerkrapah Union of Volunteer has not been adjunct of any political force during the presidency of Manvel Grigoryan.

"I can say that after the war in 1994, when there was no army, the people's hope was on Yerkrapah, the volunteer detachments solved the problem," he said.
