While responding to reporters’ queries after his visit to the automobile customs office, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan did not rule out that Armenia could petition to its Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)—which comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan—partners, to extend the timeframes for importing cars at a cheap price from other countries.

Pashinyan stressed that he does not wish to reduce car imports, and wants for Armenia’s car domain to freshen up.

“We are entering the 21st century,” the PM said, in particular. “We gave tax privilege to electromobiles, too.”

The Premier noted that even though there are social problems here, there is also a matter of new thinking.

“We have to think about our country’s image,” Nikol Pashinyan added, in particular.
