Armenia is ready to enhance its relations with all international partners. This is what Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in response to a question from a delegate of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Pashinyan assured that the revolution in Armenia took place without the participation of any foreign power. “This was a matter of national dignity for us. For me, it was a matter of my personal dignity. Democracy derives from the world view of our people,” he stated.

The Prime Minister emphasized that in spite of certain foreign mass media outlets’ attempts to find a geopolitical context, everything took place as he said. “The revolution wasn’t against a certain country or organization. It took place for the sake of being free and happy in the future,” he said.

Pashinyan assured that, by being a member state of the Eurasian Economic Union, Armenia will do everything it can to make sure the organization becomes more effective and to ensure development of the strategic relations with Russia. Armenia will also do everything it can for the effective development of the Collective Security Treaty Organization to which Armenia has acceded. “Armenia has excellent relations with the European Union. In addition, the content of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement that we signed, completely matches with the agenda of our government,” he added.
