YEREVAN.- Armenian President Armen Sarkissian visited on Friday the Supreme Judicial Council, the President's office reported.

Chairman of the Council Gagik Harutyunian presented the annual activities of the organization headed by him and the "Annual Report", which summarizes the work done and points out the strategic priorities of judicial reforms.

Gagik Harutyunyan also presented the annual results of the judicial authorities' monitoring, electronic justice development guidelines and roadmap.

Noting that the Supreme Judicial Council and the judicial system are one of the most important institutions in our country, President Sarkissian said: "There cannot be a state without justice."

According to the president, the attitude of the state towards the society and the attitude of the public towards its own state is measured by very simple criteria.

According to Armen Sarkissian, it is very important for the judicial system to be reliable for society. In this regard, the President highlighted the role of the Supreme Judicial Council, the entire judiciary, the role of each judge and, of course, public relations.

Appreciating the results of one year's activity, President Sarkissian welcomed the use of artificial intelligence elements in the presented electronic system.  "For every judge, as well as your board, artificial intelligence will become the best friend, as it will give you a much more effective work, analyze a huge amount of data. Artificial intelligence will change our lives, and we must start that change today, "Armen Sarkissian underscored.

The President of Armenia, accompanied by the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Gagik Harutyunyan toured the new building of the Council, got acquainted with the conditions and organization of work.
