YEREVAN. – Armenian police have found the killer of a 51-year-old man in Hrazdan on December 19, according to police.
As per the respective police statement, on December 19 at about 10:30am, police received a report from the Hrazdan town hospital that there was a man's dead body in an apartment, and with traces of violence.
Police officers who arrived at the scene found out that this dead person was a 51-year-old man. His face was completely smashed. It was argued that the injuries were the result of punching.
It became clear that there had been a feast at the apartment.
Shortly after the incident, police obtained evidence that the man had been beaten to death by a 40-year-old acquaintance of Hrazdan.
It became known that there was a groundless dispute between them during the feast, and it was “resolved” by murder.
Sometime thereafter, Hrazdan police found the suspect and took him to the police station.
Afterward, he was taken to the territorial investigation department for questioning.
He has been detained.
The circumstances are being clarified.
According to shamshyan.com, the suspect is Hrazdan resident Aghamamaddin Garimov, 41, an Azerbaijani.
