The Yerevan court of general jurisdiction in Shengavit Administrative District will announce the decision on the motion filed by Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s attorneys with the court for Judge Robert Papoyan’s self-recusal soon.

The court is examining the petition to arrest Gagik Tsarukyan behind closed doors.

There are many police officers in the yard of the court and nearby areas.

Deputies of the Prosperous Armenia Party are also in the yard of the court, and two of them were fined for not wearing masks today.

Gagik Tsarukyan is charged with giving electoral bribes, yet he doesn’t accept the charge and views the case as a phony one.

On June 16, the National Assembly of Armenia approved Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan’s two petitions to strip Gagik Tsarukyan of parliamentary immunity and deprive him of his liberty.
