  • Compared to early July, the COVID-19 situation in Armenia has improved significantly, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a briefing on Wednesday.

Police received a call from medical center informing that they had admitted a woman with a diagnosis of "uterine bleeding," shamshyan.com reported.

The police and investigators found out that this woman had given birth on the same day at her workplace in Yerevan, then wrapped the baby in a plastic bag and thrown the newborn in a trash can.

A criminal case on murder charge has been initiated.

The woman has been detained.
