The fire has been extinguished.

Those injured in Armenia brandy factory fire are at hospital intensive care unit.

According to the emergency ministry official, a reservoir of 30 tons of wine exploded at the factory, attached to which there were eleven 30-ton and twenty 8-ton reservoirs.

 

All the victims had used non-factory vodka, and this could be the probable source of this poisoning.

Lab samples of this beverage were taken to determine its composition.

The vodka manufacturer was detained.

Those injured as a result of the alcohol poisoning are receiving treatment at various medical organizations, Alina Nikoghosyan, health ministry spokesperson, wrote on her Facebook.

Doctors say all of them are in critical condition, and two of them are hooked up to ventilators.

The death toll has reached 881.

The total number of people who have recovered so far is 38,356, and the number of people currently being treated is 4,373.

A total of 206,929 tests have been performed to date.

Lavrov said he had spoken with the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Jeyhun Bayramov on Monday.

"We feel that both sides are interested in calming down the situation in order to resume the meetings which will be organized by the [OSCE Minsk Group] co-chairs’ representatives in the region," the Russian FM said.
