  • As of 11 am on Monday, 62 new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in Armenia, and the total number of cases has reached 44,845 in the country, according to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Also, three more deaths from COVID-19 were registered, making the respective total 900 cases.

No new cases of coronavirus patients dying from other illnesses were recorded in Armenia in the past one day, and the respective death toll in the country is still 275.

The number of people who have recovered over the past one day is 266, the total respective number so far is 40,121, and the number of people currently being treated is 3,549—which is an increase by 27 in one day.

A total of 1,038 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Armenia over the past one day, and 219,177 tests have been performed to date.

  • According to a new decision by the commandant of the current coronavirus-related state of emergency in Armenia, new—and in some cases revised—safety rules have been established in the country for the domains that are allowed to operate during the state of emergency.

Due to some easing of restrictions, libraries, museums, informal and continued education—in a number of areas, the cultural sphere—including theatrical performances, concerts, and film screenings—have also begun functioning again, and the oversight of the safety rules specified for them has also been left to the healthcare and labor inspectorate.

  • On the night of September 6-7, a criminal group blocking the roads of Amulsar, broke into the territory of Amulsar, with about 10 people—probably in a non-sober state—cursing at and attacking the Lydian guard service with stones. Lydian Armenia company, which is in charge of the Amulsar gold mine project of Armenia, on Monday noted this in a statement.

The statement also says that the members of this group had threatened the community residents who work at Lydian and were in the area of Amulsar at that time.

  • At 4:23 pm on Sunday, the National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia received a report that a person had fallen into the Aragatsavan-Arten canal.

And at 11:35 pm, rescuers found the dead body of Narek M. (born in 2001) in the canal, near Argina village, and together with the people took it out of the canal.
