The recent war in Nagorno-Karabakh made us Armenians understand that it will be impossible to fight in modern-day wars without a security system for engagement of science. This is what Chair of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly of Armenia, deputy of the ruling My Step bloc Andranik Kocharyan said during parliamentary hearings devoted to “Science as a Pillar for Security and Development”.
Kocharyan said today criminal cases have been launched against several officials in regard to the damage caused to the country’s defense and security system and, according to him, the damage was caused due to the extreme indifference of certain officials and a high level of corruption.
