Meanwhile, according to the Syunik Province Agarak village head, Azerbaijanis fired gunshots in the air to scare children when they play outside.

Hayk Sahakyan added that though there are no gunshots now, the adversary is so close that they await gunshots every moment.

According to him, the enemy is at a 1-kilometer distance in the lower part of the village and has advanced from the upper part.

  • The strong earthquake hit Armenia - particularly Yerevan - on Saturday.

The Armenian ministry of emergency situations issued a statement on Saturday noon urging people to evacuate and stay outside for a while, as aftershocks were being recorded. The ministry reported on 46 aftershocks.

Two buildings have been damaged in Yerevan and Hrazdan town of Armenia and three people have been injured as a result of the quake.

Meanwhile, three pregnant women have been hospitalized for safety reasons.

  • Citizens have been injured after shootings near one of the stores in Nagorno-Karabakh's [Atsakh] Martuni.

Police found out that a 25-year-old resident of Martuni fired gunshots at the public food outlet belonging to a 48-year-old resident, as a result of which residents of Martuni have received injuries.

The prepared materials have been transferred to the Investigative Committee of Artsakh.

The president continues his treatment in Yerevan as well.

On December 22, over 100 lawyers submitted a crime report to the Prosecutor General accusing PM Nikol Pashinyan of high treason.

The General Prosecutor's Office has passed the message to the SIS. The SIS, in turn, noted that the report was attached to the criminal case initiated in connection with the statements of Movses Hakobyan [senior Armenian military official], and will be investigated within the case.

"We challenge their inaction in court," said the head of the Chamber of Advocates Ara Zohrabyan.

Meanwhile, 4,211 people are currently being treated, 161,105 people have recovered.

The COVID-19 death toll has reached 3,147.
