YEREVAN. – Arman Yeghoyan, chairman of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly, does not know what issues there are due to which the government of Armenia has decided to terminate the tenure of Marianne Clark-Hattingh as head of the UNICEF Armenia Country Office. Yeghoyan told this to reporters in the parliament on Tuesday.

"If she was engaged in spying, it is a completely different topic. If she has shown inaction or improper work, it is another topic," the MP said, referring to the reasons circulating in the press regarding the termination of the tenure of the UNICEF representative to Armenia.

According to the reports, Clark-Hattingh had spied in favor of Azerbaijan and UK.

Referring to this matter, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia noted that the government has decided to terminate the tenure of the UNICEF representative.
