The preliminary investigation is over, the case has been forwarded to court, and there will probably be a court hearing soon. This is what unified candidate of the opposition Homeland Salvation Movement for Prime Minister of Armenia Vazgen Manukyan told reporters before today’s rally on Marshal Baghramyan Avenue, touching upon the criminal case launched against him.

Asked if he sees anything dangerous in the calls he had made, Manukyan said he never interprets his calls and statements and added that it’s up to lawyers to interpret them.

Manukyan noted that there has been an addition to the charge brought against him. “There is a charge according to which I said the army must be wrathful and not follow illegal decisions. This aim is to neutralize opponents in the political field,” he said.
