YEREVAN. – News was disseminated today that according to the official comment, Armenian soldiers were captured from the Republic of Armenia border. But we cannot call it "captivity" from the Armenian border; it is abduction. Lilit Makunts, leader of the My Step majority faction in the National Assembly (NA), announced this at the NA Thursday morning.

"this is happening in the case when today our international partners do not make a proper assessment and do not call it like it is. I call on all our partners to definitely and mandatorily express a clear assessment and a clear position on the inadmissible actions of Azerbaijan.

There is an expectation in our society and all of us that the CSTO react in a very operative way to the events taking place. Perhaps it is the delay of this operative response that leads to such developments and escalations.

I believe [that] in order to avoid further tensions and clashes, the security system of which Armenia is a part, the international partners who are concerned about such inadmissible actions and developments in the South Caucasus, toward Armenia's territorial integrity, sovereign state should give a clear assessment," Makunts added.
