Dropping the mandates won’t cause a legal crisis in the National Assembly, but I assure you that our alliance will take that step at the moment when it will lead to a solution. This is what deputy of the opposition “Armenia” faction of the National Assembly of Armenia told reporters in parliament today.

“Yes, the opposition doesn’t have command of all the information, contrary to the deputies of the ruling party sitting in parliament. The National Assembly is again performing the function of an attaché through the deputies of the ruling faction,” she said.

Asked if “Armenia” faction will also raise the issue of exiting the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) if the Russian Federation and the CSTO fail to respond to Armenia’s requests for assistance, Vardanyan said the following: “First, I need to be sure that the Armenian authorities have properly applied to the CSTO and certain actions have been taken after the authorities properly apply to the CSTO.”
