MP Rustam Bakoyan of the majority Civil Contract faction in the National Assembly of Armenia denies the reports that he beat his common-law wife and took large sum of money from her.

"I have two things to say. First of all, the disseminated information does not correspond to the reality. Second, the case is at the prosecutor's office, at the phase of investigation. I have petitioned, I will be informed, the case is already being investigated on what I said. That's all I can say," Bakoyan noted.

To the question whether he knows that woman, the lawmaker gave a positive answer, and stated that he has no other comment, the prosecutor's office will find out.
