YEREVAN. – A number of circumstances of the murder of two people in Aparan city, including the motive, have been found out as a result of the investigation being carried out within the framework of the criminal case initiated by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
According to the respective facts ascertained, at around 10:30pm on June 18, while driving with his brother in Aparan, a 32-year-old resident of the capital Yerevan honked the horn of his car to another vehicle, passed the latter and stopped it, the Investigative Committee informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Then they approached the driver of this vehicle and talked to him about his driving. But this conversation was intervened by a group of residents of Aparan.
The conversation turned into an argument, which continued in the beginning of Aparan.
To continue the aforesaid conversation, the next day, the 32-year-old man and his brother went—with several people—to the area of a gas station in Aparan, met with one of the people who had interfered in their conversation the day before, and beat him.
The conversation about the same issue continued at around 7:30pm in the area near the landfill of Nigavan village, during which the 32-year-old man fired from a rifle at the people arguing with them.
As a result, two people—27-year-old residents of Aparan—who were taken to Aparan Medical Center with gunshot wounds, died at the hospital, and five others were taken to some other medical centers.
A 32-year-old man has been detained.
The investigation continues.
Earlier we reported that according to the police, at around 7:45pm on Sunday, an incident took place between a group of people in Nigavan village of Aragatsotn Province. And during that time, a shot was fired.
