In May, we have a new absolute historical record for paid jobs registered in Armenia. A total of 673,224 paid jobs were registered in Armenia in May. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government.
"We register only those jobs for which salaries and income tax have been paid. (…). (…) more than 125,000 jobs have been created, appeared in Armenia since May 2018.
The next important news, which is also a record, is the salary fund. (…). That fund amounted to 160 billion 56 million drams in May. This indicator is 4 billion 531 million drams more compared to in May 2021," he said.
Pashinyan added that in May of this year the total indicator of income tax in Armenia made 32 billion 741 million drams, which is 3 billion 811 million drams more than in May 2021.
"The average monthly salary in May 2022 was 237,745 drams, which is 25,592 drams—or 12-percent—more against May 2021," the PM said.
