The government on Wednesday adopted the program on establishing the basic requirements, procedure, and conditions for providing assistance in exchange for investing in Armenia.
This program offers financial assistance to those investors who have infrastructure-related problems while doing business in Armenia.
"If an investment is made up to 500 million drams, the government is ready to provide the infrastructure that the investor needs in the amount of 20 percent of that [investment] amount. If it is an investment exceeding 500 million drams, then we are ready to provide infrastructures in the amount of 10 percent of that [investment] amount," Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan said at Wednesday’s Cabinet session of the government, as he presented this program.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan welcomed this program, and recalled that he had made such a pledge back in 2019. According to him, this program encourages investing in Armenia.
