Tax revenues in Armenia will amount to 1 trillion 920 billion drams this year, whereas next year, that indicator is predicted to be 2 trillion 204 billion drams. Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan said this in the National Assembly, at Monday’s joint session of parliamentary standing committees, during the debates on the draft 2023 state budget.

According to the minister, the current year's tax revenues are at least 75 billion drams more than the 2021 indicators.

"Based on the already revised indicators, we predict that tax revenues will amount to 2 trillion 204 billion drams next year; that is, about 3.7 percent of the GDP. This increase corresponds to the scenario of increasing the tax rate—envisioned by the 2021-2026 government action plan. In the coming years, we need to increase tax revenues by 0.5 percent of the GDP. Thus, in 2026 we will be able to ensure a level exceeding 25 percent," Khachatryan said.
