The government predicts a 7-percent economic growth in 2023. Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan informed this in the National Assembly, at Tuesday’s joint session of parliamentary standing committees, during the latter’s debates on the draft 2023 state budget of Armenia.

According to the minister, this is the minimum economic growth that was promised to the people.

Kerobyan assured that the Armenian authorities have many measures aimed at ensuring the aforesaid economic growth.

But on Monday, within the framework of the abovementioned debates, the governor of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) had presented slightly different data. Martin Galstyan had said that the country’s economic growth for next year will be lower than the 7 percent predicted by the government.

"We expect 4.5 percent, as this indicator was quite high in the current year," said the CBA chief had stated.
