Armenia's economy is experiencing a boom today. According to the data of January-September, the economic activity index was 14.1 percent. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this in the National Assembly, at Wednesday’s joint session of parliamentary standing committees, during the latter’s debates on the draft 2023 state budget of Armenia.

"Of course, this is an extremely important indicator. It is important to note that this pace gives us the opportunity to consider the results of 2022 to have overcome the net economic difficulties caused by the pandemic and war in 2020 and to restore the pace of our economic development. We can return to the pace of 2019 already in four years, with the results of 2018-2022.

It is also very important to evaluate this economic dynamics. Of course, some for political reasons, some for non-political reasons, say: what does the government have to do with this economic growth and success? I think the biggest role of the governments is that the country be maximally ready to face economic difficulties, and secondly, to take advantage of the opportunities for economic growth that can be created. Our approach was as follows, that the government should interfere as little as possible in economic relations, and deal more with issues of creating economic opportunities and overcoming economic problems.

Today, we are reaping the fruits of our policy of overcoming monopolies, our policy of eliminating oligarchy, our policy of ensuring everyone's equality before the law, and overcoming systemic corruption. This is what the government was supposed to do," Pashinyan added.
