The minister of economy suggests to look at the projections of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) from the beginning of the year, when they predicted that the country’s economic growth this year will be 4 percent, then they lowered it to 1 percent, then they raised it to 6 percent, and now they say 13 percent, etc. Vahan Kerobyan told about this to reporters after Thursday’s cabinet meeting of the government—and referring to the fact that the CBA does not share the government's point of view that in 2023 we will have 7 percent economic growth, and predicts an almost twice lower growth.

"During the year, the government said only one number; it said that we will ensure at least 7 percent economic growth for the year. Now, naturally, that number has doubled, at least for now, which we think is very good. Now for next year we say again that our plan is at least 7 percent. We do not make a prediction, we have a plan. In the government plan, we said at least 7 [percent], but under normal conditions—9 percent. Now it will not be appropriate to talk about normal conditions," added the economy minister.
