A group of relatives of missing Armenian servicemen are holding a protest at Freedom Square Monday in downtown Yerevan.

One of these protesters, Azat Gevorgyan, the father of missing soldier Karen Gevorgyan, said that his son was serving in Hadrut, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), and was killed on the very first day of the 44-day war in 2020.

Also, Azat Gevorgyan recalled that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had urged relatives of the prisoners of war to be patient for two months.

"Where is he? He has forgotten already. They were saying to us, 'You came out [to the street], you demonstrated, what benefit will you give?' Leave it, we are working [on the matter].' But lo and behold, they did not work", Gevorgyan added, in particular.
