At an extraordinary session of the Armenian National Assembly on Tuesday, deputies observed a moment of silence in memory of Galust Sahakyan, the former speaker of the parliament and a member of the former Republican Party of Armenia.
He passed away on December 18. Sahakyan had been treated for a long time for a serious illness. In the last days he was transferred to Germany for treatment. However, the German doctors could not save the life of the former chairman of the Armenian parliament.
