Despite the difficult external economic situation, Russia's trade and economic ties with Armenia are getting stronger. This was stated by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday in Armenia.

Conveying the best wishes of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Mishustin noted that Russia values friendship and partnership-allied relations with Armenia.

"The trade is growing, and this makes us happy, including the impact of Armenia's participation in the Eurasian Economic Union. We record an increase in the efficiency of interaction with all participating countries.

"The intergovernmental commission works on initiatives of mutual interest. We are in constant contact.

"We made a promise, and we take all our promises very seriously and fulfill them.

“As for other initiatives, we are increasing cooperation in energy, peaceful nuclear, mining industry, and transport logistics domains. There are a number of high-tech projects. Our business missions, which also regularly come to Armenia, have a good impact on the overall economic development," said Mishustin.

Also, he suggested speeding up work in all directions in investment projects and economic development.

"It is extremely important to expand the use of national currencies in shared projects and mutual trade. I am confident that this will contribute to the growth of trade and the diversification of the structure of the economy," the Russian PM emphasized.
