The Republic of Armenia is in a deep negotiation process with Azerbaijan regarding the peace treaty. Vagharshak Hakobyan, an MP of the ruling majority Civil Contract Faction and Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, said this in a briefing with reporters at the NA Tuesday.

"And today on our agenda is the peace treaty, and the sequence of steps arising from the peace treaty. And I believe that we should use all possible platforms to make the peace treaty and the establishment of peace and the final establishment of security an indisputable reality," Hakobyan added.

"The Republic of Armenia can never turn a blind eye to the war crimes committed against our citizens. The Republic of Armenia speaks on all platforms about the various violations that occurred in Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)]—both legal, security and other violations. And you can follow up on this [in] many speeches by our MFA representatives, by the relevant agencies. I suggest not merging the two processes," said the Armenian ruling force lawmaker.
