Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Zvartnots International Airport and familiarized with the activities of the Border Guard Service. This was reported in the press service of the RA Government.

The Armenian Prime Minister was accompanied by the Director of the National Security Service, Armen Abazyan, and the Border Troops Commander of the National Security Service, Edgar Unanyan. The heads of “Zvartnots” International Airport were also present at the rounds.

Prime Minister visited the arrival and departure halls, where the employees of the Border Troops carried out their functions. The responsible persons reported that the border guard service is carried out without problems and serious incidents.

Prime Minister wished the border guards success in their activity and safe service.

As it has been reported, representatives of the Russian border service handed over the “Zvartnots” air checkpoint of the state border to the Armenian side on July 31.

The Russian border guards were deployed in “Zvartnots” according to the agreement of September 30, 1992 on the status of the border troops of the Russian Federation and conditions of their activity on the territory of Armenia, signed between the Russian Federation and Armenia.
