The President of Artsakh was Arayik Harutyunyan, and we discussed the matter of going to Sofia during the session of the National Security Council, and we gave a positive response. This was stated Friday in front of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) representation in Armenia’s capital Yerevan by Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan.

“In addition, 15 days later there was a proposal to meet in Bratislava, which we accepted, and our delegation had bought the [airline] tickets to go there, but Azerbaijan rejected [it]. These speculations are not ethical, since the representatives of Artsakh have negotiated directly with Azerbaijan at various times,” Shahramanyan added.

To note, Armenia’s authorities accuse the Artsakh authorities of rejecting the proposal to negotiate with the representatives of Azerbaijan in Sofia and Bratislava, but then having to go to Yevlakh, Azerbaijan to meet with the Azerbaijanis.
