Thousands of demonstrators dissatisfied with the verdict on Hrant Dink’s case took to the streets of Istanbul on Tuesday.

The protestors were chanting “We are all Hrant, we are all Armenians”, “We demand explanations from a murder state” slogans. The demonstration was headed by Dink’s wife Rakel Dink and lawyer Fethiye Cetin.

During the Tuesday hearings the court found Yasin Hayal guilty of instigating and organizing Dink’s murder sentencing him to life imprisonment. Erhan Duncel was found not guilty in Dink’s case but was sentenced to 10 years and 6 months’ imprisonment for organizing attack on McDonalds.

Earlier killer Ogun Samast was sentenced to 22 years and 10 months’ imprisonment.
