Armenian authorities have invited Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the European Political Community summit, which will take place in May 2026 in Yerevan.

“We have extended the invitations; the documents have not yet been sent, but we have verbally invited [them] to participate at the highest level,” Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan told reporters at the National Assembly.

When asked about what the moods were and the likelihood of their attendance, Mirzoyan replied: “All of this is very fresh, and there has not yet been an opportunity to discuss the details or anything else.”
