The presence of 23 Armenian captives in Azerbaijan has been confirmed, National Assembly (NA) speaker Alen Simonyan told reporters Wednesday.

But he is convinced that one day the number of these captives will drop to zero. “Let’s wait. I am sure that at some point the number of [Armenian] captives [in Azerbaijan] will decrease to zero. Everyone will return, including the leaders of Karabakh at that time,” Simonyan assured.

According to the NA head, everything possible will be done to ensure that all Armenian prisoners in Azerbaijan, without exception, return home.
