YEREVAN. – The man releasing arrest order for Haykakan Zhamanak (Armenian Times) newspaper journalist Hayk Gevorgyan was obviously under drugs, newspaper’s Editor-in-Chies Nikol Pashinyan told commenting the arrest of Gevorgyan.

Pashinyan also presented the reality. According to it, Gevorgyan’s car was stopped for not having the auto insurance contract on Jan. 12. However, the journalist claimed he would stick it when Chief of the Armenian Police will have it as well. The next day, Gevorgyan was attempted to appear in a trap for alleged run over. However, the man was just a simulator. Gevorgyan anyway has received a note the same day, inviting him to police station. However, the note was not filled properly and Gevorgyan stated he would go police if it is filled correctly, Pashinyan tells. After all, Gevorgyan was arrested on Friday but Pahsinyan claims they have serious facts. However, he will not disclose them for strategic reasons.

As a matter of fact, Gevorgyan has driven his car for 10 days being in the government, published articles. However, police could not get him.

“This proves the real condition of the Armenian Police. We can assume how it is dangerous for the society,” Pashinyan concluded.
