A total of 4,040 families from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) have received certificates within the framework of the housing provision program, Armenia's minister of labor and social affairs, Arsen Torosyan, said at a press conference Friday.

The program for providing these certificates will continue this year, and Armenian citizenship will remain a mandatory condition. A total of 1,755 families from Artsakh have received apartments in Armenia.

Also, a decision was made to introduce a new long-term rental program. It is intended for those former Artsakh residents, such as the elderly or disabled, who are unable to use the aforesaid certificates. This program will launch on July 1.

And speaking about whether the former Artsakh residents can buy an apartment in Armenia with the provided certificate, the minister noted that if the family wants to buy a house in a place where prices are higher than the value of the certificate, then it can attract additional funds.
