A strategic partnership agreement is being prepared, and we hope that it will be signed during this year during a meeting of high-ranking officials, Iranian ambassador to Armenia Khalil Shirgholami told a press conference Wednesday.

He informed that the parties are currently exchanging views on the text of this document, and emphasized the importance of institutionalizing their relations at a high level.

The Iranian ambassador to Armenia added that the Iranian deputy foreign minister recently held productive negotiations in Yerevan. Shirgholami explained that the purpose of this visit was to clarify the roadmap for Armenia-Iran relations for 2026, as well as to plan mutual visits of senior officials of the two countries.
