There is no problem with having relations with the CSTO at all. I also have some disappointment in relation to the CSTO, which comes from the fact that all CSTO countries, except Russia, have much better relations with Azerbaijan than Armenia, the latter’s second president, Robert Kocharyan, told a press conference Thursday—and regarding the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

“This is already a problem for us [i.e. Armenia]. What have we done to not spoil our relations with the CSTO? On the contrary, we have done everything to create this picture. We should look at the CSTO in the following way: What is the CSTO without Russia? Nothing. We should look at the CSTO as a Russia-centric structure, and we are dealing with Russia. Forget [Belarusian president Alexander] Lukashenko, forget the [CSTO] countries of Central Asia,” added Armenia’s second president.
