High-ranking officials of Armenia, led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan Friday morning on the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide (PHOTOS).
Pashinyan was accompanied by President Vahagn Khachaturyan, speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan, secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, mayor of capital city Yerevan Tigran Avinyan, and several other senior officials.
The officials laid flowers at the eternal flame perpetuating the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Since the early morning, police have blocked the path leading to the Armenian Genocide Memorial and are not allowing people to go up to the memorial.
