Lake in the village of Tabatshuri in Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia is used by villagers only, MP from the Republican Party of Armenia Vardan Ayvazyan said.

“The lake is leased, but 50 percent of fishing is left to the villagers, and revenue for the remaining 50 percent will be allocated to rural development. That's what I said six months ago, including on Georgian television. If someone comes and proves that my words are untrue, I'll eat paper publicly,” Ayvazyan told reporters on Monday.

Media has recently reported that Ayvazyan rented a lake near the village Tabatshuri in Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia and bans the locals from fishing there.

It should be noted that the Armenian law prohibits the lawmakers from being involved in any business activities.
