During the forensic psychological expert examination, Valery Permyakov charged with killing the Avetisyan family, was reserved. Elda Grin, psychologist, Doctor of Psychology told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.

“He was very reserved, laconic and was responding to the questions in short phrases of 2-3 words without using long sentences. He showed interest towards the psychological expert examination. It was apparent that he was trying to understand and give well-thought answers,” the psychologist said.

The expert examination was held on September 17 in the territory of the Russian military base in Armenia’s city of Gyumri.

As reported earlier, six members of the Avetisyan family—including a two-year-old girl—were shot dead, and a six-month-old baby was wounded in their house in Gyumri, Armenia, on January 12. The baby boy died in hospital on January 19. Valery Permyakov, a serviceman of the 102nd Russian Military Base in Gyumri, stands accused in this crime.

The 5th garrison court of Russia’s North Caucasus District Military Court sentenced Permyakov to 10 years of imprisonment for desertion and illegal bearing of weapons. The case on the murder of the Avetisyan family is dealt with by the Armenian side.
