Georgia’s ex-president, governor of the Odessa region Mikheil Saakashvili said he would return home and meet with local residents, Georgia-Online reported.

He said that he would surely return and would actively be involved in the staffing of the new government. He noted that all the people who promised to arrest him would meet him with applause.

Mikheil Saakashvili also added that they would meet in several days and the new future of Georgia would begin.

Earlier, Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili stated that if Saakashvili arrived in Georgia, he would be detained.
