The Russian Foreign Ministry hopes, that Ukraine will overcome the "orange disease" and will return to the formation of a constructive dialogue with Moscow, said the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin in his statement in the Russian Foreign Ministry's website, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Referring to the events in Ukraine that had taken place in the recent years, the diplomat said, that the Ukrainian government "is simply breaking all the connections between the two peoples, which is somehow reminiscent of what they had done with the Russian language, education, culture, the history, trade, and economy." “They cancel the bilateral agreements, break relationships between sister-cities, ban Russian-language movies and programs, freeze joint projects even to the detriment of their own interests," Karasin said.

The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister stressed, that in these circumstances there is no hope for fruitful cooperation. According to him, Moscow is ready to make " a dialogue and co-operate with adequate Ukrainian politicians" and is open "to restore close relations with the brotherly people."
