The EU has transferred Ukraine the second tranche of assistance in amount of 600 million euros. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on his Twitter.

On March 16, The European Commission on behalf of the EU decided to provide the second tranche of 600 million euros as a macro-financial assistance to Ukraine. As a result of the transfer, the total amount of the financial aid provided so far by the EU to Ukraine will reach 2.81 billion euros since 2014, which is the maximum aid that the EU has ever granted to any non-member state. The EU expects that the financial aid will have a positive impact on the macroeconomic stability of the country.
