YEREVAN. – Foreign diplomats should not interfere with election processes in Armenia: these are internal affairs of the republic, Minister of Justice, David Harutyunyan told reporters on Thursday, after Parliament session.

Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Świtalski noted earlier on Thursday that the April 2 parliamentary elections were not perfect.

According to Harutyunyan, only the people and the parliament should decide the structure of the electoral system and Central Electoral Commission (CEC).

“Our electoral right was highly appreciated by the most authoritative international body in this area – the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe,” the Minister of Justice noted.
