STEPANAKERT. - Three Armenian servicemen were killed as a result of the firing by the Azerbaijani armed forces on Friday, the press service of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) Defense Ministry informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.

The adversary violated the ceasefire regime at about 6:05 pm on Friday, using AGS-17 in the direction of the protection area of one of the central military units under the subordination of the Defense Army. Consequently Defense Army servicemen Arayik Matinyan (born in 1997), Vigen Petrosyan (born in 1997) and Vardan Sargsyan (born in 1997) were fatally wounded. 

Investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances of the incident.

The NKR Defense Ministry shares the grief of the loss and extends its support to the soldiers’ family members, relatives and fellow servicemen.
