June 18 is Armenia Aviation Day.

The Armenian armed forces mark this day on the third Sunday of June, ever since 1997.

Formation of the aviation department of the armed forces of Armenia was completed in June 1992.

Five years later, and in honor of this event, the President of the country signed a decree on celebrating Armenia Aviation Day.
